Adirondackers organize to advocate for workers rights

On May 1, 84 Southern Adirondack residents gathered at the junction of Diamond Point Road and US-9 just off Exit 23 of the Northway, joining more than 1,000 cities nationwide organized by May Day Strong to demand rights for workers. Demonstrators wore clothing to represent the region’s workers, from farmers to healthcare workers to handymen to highway and construction workers.
