Adani Group to Invest over USD 75 Billion in Energy Transition Space over 5 Years: Chairman Gautam Adani.

Adani Group plans to build the world’s largest renewable energy park and expand green capacity, with over 50% of India’s electricity now from non-fossil sources, chairman said.

  • On Tuesday, Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani said the group will invest over $75 billion in the space of energy transition over the next five years.
  • Framing mining as strategic, Adani said mining, minerals and earth sciences are emerging frontiers of sovereignty, sustainability and national capability, and critical minerals underpin clean-energy and advanced technologies.
  • Building in Gujarat, the Khavda project spans 520 square kilometres and is planned to reach 30 GW by 2030, powering more than 60 million Indian homes.
  • It will fuel the rise of electricity-based manufacturing, green steel, green fertilisers, hydrogen ecosystems, and the critical infrastructure that AI and digital economies depend on, said Gautam Adani.
  • Against COP-30 criticism, Adani dismissed the downgraded sustainability report as a weaponised narrative and noted India reached more than 50 per cent non-fossil capacity five years early under the Paris Agreement .
