Collision between migrant speedboat, Greek coast guard vessel leaves at least 15 dead

- Chios hospital staff were placed on alert as Michalis Giannakos, head of Greece's public hospital workers' union, said several injured individuals required surgery.
- Amid scrutiny over pushbacks, the European Union border agency reviewed alleged violations by Greece last year, while UNHCR reported roughly 1,000 crossings this year and IOM estimated about 33,000 Mediterranean deaths since 2014.
