The Abiko City Election Commission in Chiba Prefecture announced on the 31st that an early voting station for the House of Representatives election mistakenly processed the absentee ballot of one voter as an early vote. Instead of placing the ballot in an envelope and sending it to the local government where the voter was supposed to vote, the ballot was instead placed in a ballot box in Abiko City.
