Abbotsford Canucks attendance decreases 4.7 per cent year-over-year
The team’s average fell 4.7% to 3,953 over 36 home games, and it missed the playoffs for the first time in franchise history.
Average attendance for the Abbotsford Canucks dipped to a franchise-low of 3,953 over 36 home games in 2025-26, marking the first time numbers fell below 4,000.
Missing the playoffs for the first time in franchise history may account for the decline, while the Abbotsford Heat, the building's previous AHL tenant, posted figures as low as 3,007.
Failing to reach the 5,000-fan threshold for the fifth consecutive year remains significant, as that mark triggers revenue-sharing agreements between Abbotsford and the team.
Abbotsford's attendance ranked 25th in the 32-team AHL, dropping 4.7 per cent year-over-year; the WHL's Vancouver Giants averaged 3,700, a decrease of 1 per cent.
Despite current struggles, the Canucks reached a season-high of 6,378 at the October 24 home opener and drew an average of 6,136 over 13 postseason home games during last year's Calder Cup run.
