According to an exchange of messages, Áron Orbán claimed to have detailed information about the shipment.
Áron Orbán may have tried to get a businessman living in Graz to intercept a Ukrainian money shipment in Austria, writes 444. The exchange of messages described by the newspaper allegedly took place at the end of March, after the gold convoy affair in Hungary.
The prime minister's younger brother approached a Hungarian businessman-politician acquaintance living in Graz with the request two weeks before the elections. The man, who had not spoken to Áron Orbán for years at the time, denied it and then reported it to the Austrian services and his party, the People's Party, which had once nominated him in the local elections there.
