An employee of a branch of the Czech National Bank, whom the police accuse of stealing tens of millions of crowns from its Brno branch, has been remanded in custody. The case has surprised even former CNB governors. According to Miroslav Singer, a similar act requires, in addition to the actions of the perpetrator, negligence or breach of duty by at least one other employee.
