- Li Chuanliang alleges Chinese authorities used Silicon Valley technology to track and harass him and relatives abroad under operations 'Fox Hunt' and 'Sky Net', which brought back more than 14,000 people from over 120 countries.
- The anti-corruption campaign escalated after Xi Jinping's 2012 rise, flagging 900,000 officials last year, with local conflict in Jixi sparked by Xu Zhaojun's arrest following Li’s exposure.
