Connecticut federal prosecutors recently announced that Lei Zhou, a 43-year-old Chinese man from Flushing, New York, has been sentenced to 42 months in federal jail for his involvement in a criminal gang that used identity theft to purchase luxury cars. He pleaded guilty in May to one count of conspiracy to commit bank and wire fraud and one count of aggravated identity theft.
