Zelenskyy Announces €40 Billion Investment Strategy for Carpathian Eight

Zelenskyy: 'Met with media representatives along with C8 leaders. Today, in the second part of the summit — in the economic part — there will be significant financial and investment agreements. We will have about 500 business representatives here, investment and trade deals worth a billion euros are prepared — and this is a good start: energy, logistics and infrastructure, as well as cross-sector deals. Next there will be more. Today alone, almost 100 business projects from all eight Carpathian countries will be presented here. And the total volume of these projects is almost 40 billion euros. This is something that can really work for our countries and for our common Carpathians. We assume that in the coming years, economic growth here in the Carpathian macro-region may be twice as fast as the average in the European Union.'
During the first plenary meeting of the Carpathian Summit, on 18 September, the participating States submitted a joint regional proposal for investors from 95 projects with a total value of some Euro40 billion.
