Inflation in the eurozone rose to 3.8 percent in September, the highest inflation rate since September 2023. The reason for this is the high energy prices.
"By analysing the main components of inflation in the euro area, it is expected that energy will have the highest annual rate in September (18.8% versus 14.3% in August), followed by services (3.2% versus 3.0% in August), food, alcoholic beverages and tobacco (1.4% versus 1.1% in August) and non-energy industrial goods (1.1% versus 1.2% in August)," said Eurostat.
