At Truk in 1944 she became the only Iowa to fire her main guns at enemy warships. Off Vietnam she fired 5,688 16-inch shells in one tour, more than WWII and Korea combined. Her last 13 rounds fell on Lebanon on Feb. 26, 1984; she is now a museum in Camden.
