Authorities said two adults suffered life-threatening injuries as investigators examined a multi-vehicle collision involving a SamTrans Ride Plus van.
- On Tuesday morning, a multi-vehicle collision at Bay Road and University Avenue in East Palo Alto resulted in two deaths, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office.
- Around 8:20 a.m., a minivan struck six other vehicles, including a SamTrans Ride Plus van, before coming to rest on Bay Road.
- Authorities confirmed the minivan's driver died at the scene, while a female passenger later succumbed to injuries at a hospital, and three others sustained non-life-threatening wounds.
- Bay Road and University Avenue remained closed until 12:30 p.m. Tuesday as the Sheriff's Office Major Accident Investigation Team processed the scene.
