The former Wales captain, whose 64-metre penalty against Scotland has stood as a record for 40 years, leads a team of nine kayaking from Mumbles to Anglesey, climbing Yr Wyddfa and cycling 150 miles home for two charities close to them all. Almost 40 years after he hit one of the most famous kicks in Welsh rugby, Paul Thorburn is preparing for a challenge of a very different kind. The former Wales international will lead a team of nine on a 12-day challenge which will include kayaking along the Welsh coast, climbing Snowdon and cycling 150 miles back to Swansea.
