4 shot inside North Carolina home, 2 killed as police identify person of interest
Four people were injured after a shooting in a Gaston County home, and police say they have not released details on a suspect or motive.
On Thursday, Gaston County Police Department officers responded to a shooting near the 2600 block of Forbes Road in North Carolina, discovering four victims inside a home near Highway 321.
Gaston County Communications received a 911 call at approximately 8:43 a.m., and patrol officers arrived five minutes later to secure the scene and begin lifesaving measures before fire and EMS personnel arrived.
Channel 9 reporter Ken Lemon observed Gastonia Fire and police working behind crime scene tape at the scene, while the Gaston County Police Department requested residents avoid the area during the investigation.
Due to the ongoing investigation, officials have not released additional information regarding the victims or their conditions as the Gaston County Police Department continues processing the scene.
