Twenty-five years ago, al-Qaeda terrorists hijacked four planes in the United States, two of which crashed into the World Trade Center in New York City, and the third into the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. The fourth, intended to hit the Capitol, crashed in Pennsylvania after the passengers bravely fought off the hijackers. The attack killed nearly three thousand people, including six Poles.
"Memories of 9/11 have no expiration date," said a woman who worked on the 82nd floor of the north tower of the World Trade Center 25 years ago.
