22 people killed in bus crash in Egypt
Twenty-Two people were killed and 28 injured when a bus carrying Egyptians and Jordanians overturned on the Dahab-Nuweiba road in South Sinai, Egypt, on Wednesday.
The injured were taken to Sharm El Sheikh International Hospital, Saint Catherine Hospital, and Al-Fayrouz Medical Complex for treatment, with emergency response activated including the dispatch of ambulances.
A technical committee was formed by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly to investigate the causes of the accident and assess vehicle, driver, and road safety.
Compensation of EGP 100,000 per death will be paid by the Financial Regulatory Authority, which is coordinating with Jordanian officials to settle claims for Jordanian victims.
