2 Georgia football players arrested for shoplifting

On Dec. 12, 2025, Georgia freshmen Dontrell Glover and Bo Walker were arrested and booked into Clarke County Jail on misdemeanor theft by shoplifting charges.
The university, through deputy athletic director Steven Drummond, said it is gathering information and called it a pending legal matter, while Glover and Walker are charged with misdemeanor theft by shoplifting.
Jail records show that Walker was booked at 5:30 p.m. ET and Glover at 5:55 p.m. ET, both held on $1,500 bonds, according to Athens-Clarke County Police.
The arrests present an immediate distraction for the Bulldogs as they prepare for postseason play; Georgia deputy athletic director Steven Drummond said it is a pending legal matter with no further comment.
Less than a week after winning the SEC Championship, Georgia faces new off-field legal trouble as Coach Kirby Smart has shown less clemency after prior speeding and conduct incidents.
