'Could Have Ended Differently': Fort Pierce Couple Arrested for Firing Guns While Drinking Alcohol
Deputies said the pair fired a shotgun, rifle and handguns into the ground and were charged with firearm offenses while under the influence of alcohol.
- On Sept 12, 2026, Fort Pierce residents Tiffany Rose Lindo and Jacob Robert Mills, both 25, were arrested after deputies responded to reports of active gunfire at a residence on Happiness Street.
- St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office deputies responded at approximately 9 p.m. to the 5100 block of Happiness Street after a witness reported seeing the pair firing multiple weapons, including a shotgun, rifle, and handguns into the ground.
- Investigators confirmed Lindo and Mills had been consuming alcohol before and during the incident. Both face charges of discharging a firearm in a residential area and use of a firearm while under the influence of alcohol.
- Del Toro, the St. Lucie County Sheriff, stated, "It would be legal if you weren't using alcohol, but the fact that they were under the influence, that's what made it a second-degree misdemeanor."
- No injuries were reported during the incident, but the sheriff warned that the offense could result in up to six months in jail or probation. Del Toro cautioned against mixing firearms and alcohol in residential neighborhoods.
