By Kahina B.-H. – Respect for international law at the heart of a vital standoff. Arbitrarily detained, Sahrawi political prisoner Naâma Asfari began an indefinite hunger strike on June 8. This final action follows three 48-hour hunger strikes in May, which were ignored by the Makhzen (the Moroccan establishment). It aims to demand the implementation of the Opinion of the United Nations Working Group on Arbitrary Detention.
